Job Title: Meal Delivery Driver
Supervisor: Head Cook
Classification: Grade 9
Salary: $11.53, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Part-Time (24 hours/week)
Job Summary: Assist in daily meal preparation and packaging. Deliver meals to clients according to program procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to read and comprehend instructions and Agency/Program policies and procedures.
- ServSafe® food service and sanitation training is preferred.
- First Aid and CPR training is preferred.
- Must have good hygiene and be free of communicable diseases.
- Must be sensitive to the needs of low-income and diverse individuals.
- Must be bondable and successfully pass criminal record check at hire and going forward as per Agency or program requirement. Additional registry checks as required by funder.
- Must successfully pass a drug screen at hire and on-going, per Agency or program requirement.
- Must have safe and reliable transportation.
- Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License.
- Must maintain acceptable driving record and automobile insurance sufficient to meet Agency Liability Insurance Carrier requirements. On-going documentation is required.
Essential Duties Include, but Not Limited to:
- Responsible for assisting daily in the preparation and packaging of meals.
- Safely and efficiently, deliver meals to consumer’s homes and/or approved meal sites.
- Provide friendly and courteous delivery to consumers following program procedures.
- Demonstrate tolerance and respect for diversity in accordance with Agency’s mission.
- Conduct a wellness check, reporting any safety or health concerns to Nutrition office.
- Keep and maintain accurate records as required by program, conditions of participation, service specifications, food safety and sanitation.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Responsible for returning client donations to supervisor on a daily basis.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods, drive a vehicle daily, regularly ascend/descend steps, regularly stand/bend/stoop/kneel. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to heat and noise in the kitchen and extreme weather conditions when making deliveries.
