We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our construction team. The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This individual will help coordinate project activities, manage resources, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
- Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project records, including plans, contracts, and change orders, and ensure they are up-to-date and properly filed.
- Budget Management: Help monitor and track project expenses.
- Schedule Management: Coordinate the construction schedule, ensuring all activities are performed in a timely manner, and notify the team of any delays or adjustments.
- Team Collaboration: Work with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and proper execution of tasks.
- Quality Control: Assist in enforcing safety regulations, site inspections, and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies needed for the project.
- Problem Solving: Address any project challenges that arise, and escalate issues to the Project Manager as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a project coordinator or assistant project management role.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Willingness to work in outdoor and construction site environments, including exposure to various weather conditions.
