Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator and load rigger to join our team in Bellingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a crane (Potain T130) and heavy equipment (forklifts, excavator) on our construction site, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations, materials handling, and safety protocols in a construction environment. Pay DOE
Duties
- Operate a Potain T130 crane, as well as forklifts and an excavator, to lift, move, and position heavy materials.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate lifting operations and ensure safety compliance.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on crane equipment.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with other construction tasks as needed, including digging and building structures.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with cranes.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations related to crane operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to crane functionality and maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating leadership skills when necessary.
- Must hold a current crane operator certification.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
