SUMMARY
Receives, stores, and delivers material, and products within warehouse and to customers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY VARY BY LOCATION:
Job duties may vary based on business needs but may result in generating, handling, and/or inspection of hazardous waste and hazardous waste storage. This can include responding or managing hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site's emergency action or contingency plan. These duties include preparing and managing hazardous waste records such as manifests, inspection logs, waste determination and other reports.
Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or delivered. Assembles stock from storage area to be delivered to customer.
Completes Company paperwork including pre-trip logs, driver logs and bills of lading.
Responsible for placing placard on trucks and marks materials with identifying information.
Drives truck to deliver materials to customer. Picks up empty containers and material to be returned. Assists in loading and unloading trucks.
Reads purchase orders to determine arrival of incoming stock, unloads and distributes incoming material to storage area. Responsible for organizing storage area.
Separates product by classification. Repacks bulk material into drum and tote tanks. Cleans, sizes and labels storage drums. Responsible for maintenance and painting of chlorine containers.
Responsible for warehouse maintenance. Cleans, sweeps, and organizes warehouse.
Ensures all shipments are properly secured per DOT requirements prior to leaving the facility.
Ensures all customer requirements are met for deliveries including stenciling of customer codes on packages, COA's, MSDS, etc.
Performs pre and post trip inspection of tractor and trailer as required.
Uses company provided equipment such as cell phones and PeopleNet software in accordance with all laws, regulations and Harcros SOPs. (i.e. not talking/texting while driving, etc.)
Safely operates all equipment.
Drives forklift truck to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience; and one to three years related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Needs commercial driver's license (all classes). Needs Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement or ability to be certified.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to operate forklift truck.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and maybe occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
