Summary:
At Harcros Chemicals Inc., an employee-owned company with a rich legacy in specialty chemical manufacturing and distribution, we're continuously expanding. With 2 manufacturing plants and 27 distribution facilities across 20 states, we're seeking a dedicated Chemical Operator to join our team to assist with opportunities. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role will load, unload, move materials and fill containers within plant.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
- Maintain and execute established production schedules.
- Read production order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be packaged.
- Responsible for preparing proper packaging of product and applying all necessary labels.
- Responsible for safety information on production orders.
- Create scale ticket (weight) for all tank trucks being shipped or received. Responsible for completing checklist of all tank trucks and tank cars received.
- Maintain plant inventory on bulk materials, product, and containers.
- Responsible for compliance with Company, city, state, and federal packaging regulations.
- Complete scale tickets, production orders, receiving orders, checklists and any other necessary paperwork.
- Comply with all safety and PPE requirements.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- And/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Required Skills We Are Looking For:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or video presentation.
- Problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Physical Capabilities & Requirements:
- Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects or tools, reach with arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to hazardous fumes or odors.
- Noise level is moderate to loud.
- Will frequently work in outdoor weather conditions.
