Summary:
At Harcros Chemicals Inc., an employee-owned company with a rich legacy in specialty chemical manufacturing and distribution, we're continuously expanding. With 2 manufacturing plants and 27 distribution facilities across 20 states, we're seeking a dedicated Production Worker A professional to join our team to assist with opportunities. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for moving materials, loading and unloading containers, and ensuring proper storage within the plant.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
- Read work orders or follow instructions to identify materials or containers to be moved.
- Use a forklift to load/unload materials from trucks, including tank trucks.
- Transport materials from storage or work areas to designated locations.
- Perform chlorine filling and hydrostatic testing of chlorine cylinders.
- Assist with bleach production processes and respond to chlorine emergencies.
- Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet.
- Clean work areas, machines, and equipment.
- Make simple repairs, such as realigning belts or replacing rollers.
- Other job duties may be assigned.
- Job duties may also result in:
- Generate, handle, and/or inspect hazardous waste and hazardous waste storage.
- Respond or manage hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site’s emergency action or contingency plan.
- Prepare and manage hazardous waste records such as manifests, inspection logs, waste determination and other reports.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-3 years of related experience or training in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Forklift Certified preferred.
- And/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Required Skills We Are Looking For:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or video presentation.
- Problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Physical Capabilities & Requirements:
