What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foundations and Grants Specialist position at Harcum College?
Harcum College, Bryn Mawr, PA , a leader among the nation's independent, two year colleges, has an immediate opening for a Foundations and Grants Specialist responsible for supporting the fundraising efforts of the organization by identifying, securing, and coordinating grants, other funding prospects and foundation initiatives.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborates on fundraising approaches for projects and initiatives and the cultivation of relationships with current and prospective donors and foundations
- Submit proposals and grant requests, and reports
- Researches prospects, donor and foundation cultivation strategies
- Provides support to the Grants Steering Committee
- Helps maintain and manage a comprehensive institutional grants calendar
- Prepares and / or assist with the preparation of grant proposals from other departments
- Maintains files, prepares reports, and assesses effectiveness of grant writing efforts.
- Enters all foundation and grant activity in College's development database, DonorPerfect.
- Helps to oversee stewardship, including recognition and progress reports to corporate and foundation donors
- Other duties as assigned
