Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana their choice for gaming, entertainment; responsible for activity building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest services.
- Follows and maintains department objectives, standards and guidelines to ensure proper operation of the department.
- Responsible for the upkeep of food lines and self-service stations.
- Complete all set-up duties on time.
- Ensures all equipment is in working order and up to Hard Rock safety and cleanliness standards.
- Maintains open lines of communication with Stewarding Supervisor and Executive Steward.
- Perform work regularly and predictably.
- Properly clean and sanitize all restaurants equipment, including grills, ovens, flat tops, fryers and warmers.
- Maintain exhaust Hood’s and vents by cleaning and polishing daily.
- Operate, clean and store oil carts for proper daily operation.
- Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and report any problems immediately to management.
- Cleaning, organization and stocking of Stewarding storage areas.
- Adhere to all Food and Beverage Department rules and policies as set by the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations and sanitation guidelines.
- Empty grease barrels and trays.
- Cleans floor drains and grease traps.
- Remove all garbage and clean cans.
- Demonstrate a commitment to proper behavior that reinforces the company’s code of ethics, integrity and teamwork.
- Respect and accountability.
- Maintain the cleanliness of hot/cold boxes, speed tracks and push carts in all outlets.
- Wash walls, baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards.
- Remove trash/carboard and place in designated containers; clean and sanitize trash containers.
- Main the cleanliness of the dumpster area and wash pay facility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Attend seminars when needed.
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year of progressive experience within a Steward Department or related work experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
- Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- All operations of the Stewards’ Department.
- May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke and excessive noise.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
