What's the position?
Our Due Diligence Supervisor will report to the Risk Manager and will manage a team of associates who are primarily responsible for providing verification of customer identification and reviewing KYC information.
Your role will include reporting on adherence to goals and objectives, completing coaching, feedback, observations, and regular development meetings. You will collaborate with your team and peers to identify enhancements to the customer verification process, workflow and efficiency, as well as help simplify and streamline the overall Due Diligence onboarding, re-verifications and PEP/Sanctions Screening.
What are we looking for?
The Due Diligence Supervisor will have experience in leading a team of Due Diligence Associates in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigating risks associated with customer onboarding/re-verification. Minimum 2 years of experience in due diligence, risk management, or compliance within the online gaming industry.
The ideal candidate will:
- As a regulated gaming company, you may be required to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment.
- Have experience in the fields of Due Diligence and Document Verification and would have knowledge of how to lead cross-functioning initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud at the onboarding/re-verification level.
- The supervisor instils knowledge into the team to perform all necessary Due Diligence tasks including researching, documenting, and implementing best practices.
- Be able to support the recruitment, training, and development of a team and nurture an environment where they can excel through encouragement, development, and empowerment.
- Have a strong analytical mindset with great problem-solving skills enabling them to identify and recommend change to close gaps in current systems, policies and procedures while using knowledge and data to identify actionable trends.
- Prepare detailed due diligence reports, summarizing findings and providing recommendations for further action.
- Aid in the develop and implement due diligence policies, procedures, and standards.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to online sports betting.
- Have experience with handling and aiding in the process of clearing possible OFAC and watchlist matches on screening systems.
- Have the capacity to accurately investigate and properly mitigate the risk of case escalations.
- Uphold and promote a positive brand image through every customer interaction by maintaining professionalism, friendliness, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Have a desire and willingness to learn, proactively maintaining awareness of policies and procedures while complying with Responsible Gambling and Regulatory requirements.
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities and to thrive in a face-paced work environment.
- Have strong computer literacy and numeracy skills, and a keen attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
