What’s the position?
We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and highly analytical Fraud Strategy Senior Manager to lead our strategic efforts in managing fraud prevention and mitigation across the organization. This role will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives to optimize fraud and risk rules and building the tools and technology that drive the day-to-day operations of the fraud teams, with specific focus on combatting fraud, managing vendor relationships, optimizing fraud and risk rules, and identifying emerging fraud trends in a proactive and data-driven manner.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on expertise in fraud prevention to ensure the security and trust of our customers and stakeholders. This individual must possess a keen eye for fraud, demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills, and excel at working independently while delivering results. This role will report directly to the Director of Fraud.
Key Responsibilities:
Fraud Strategy Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, forward-thinking fraud prevention strategy that aligns with HRD’s overall risk managements objectives and goals.
- Anticipate emerging industry trends and design proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on fraud tools and rules, providing guidance to fraud operations team.
Critical Analysis and Trend Identification
- Monitor and analyze fraud trends, emerging threats, and industry vulnerabilities to strengthen fraud defenses.
Risk Rules Optimization:
- Refine fraud detection rules to maximize effectiveness while minimizing false positives and customer friction.
- Use data-driven insights to identify and resolve gaps in existing fraud detection frameworks.
- Evaluate and prioritize rule changes to address emerging fraud patterns and operational needs.
Technology and Tooling Implementation:
- Partner with internal teams and vendors to design and enhance fraud detection tools and platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure tools and technology meet operational requirements and can scale with the growing needs of the business.
- Stay ahead of industry advancements and recommend innovative technologies to improve fraud detection capabilities.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in fraud prevention, risk management, or related fields, with a strong focus on rules optimization and technology implementation, preferably within the iGaming or online payments industry.
- Proven track record of designing and optimizing fraud detection rules and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with machine learning and AI-based fraud detection solutions a plus.
- Familiarity with SQL and data analytics tools.
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities and to thrive in a face-paced work environment.
