What’s the position?
As the Regulatory Finance Director, you will be reporting to the VP – Finance and will play a pivotal role in establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust revenue reporting controls, state gaming operation accounting controls, IRS gambling winnings reporting and controls, audit collaboration and other tasks and projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards, as well as a strong background internal controls and compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Revenue Reporting Controls: Assist in the design and implementation of comprehensive revenue reporting controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial data.
- Regulatory Internal Controls: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the creation and maintenance of state regulatory internal controls tailored to new launches, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Report Creation and Testing: Assist in the development of new revenue audit reports to support business objectives and regulatory compliance. Lead testing initiatives for new reporting functionalities, ensuring they meet both operational needs and regulatory standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing existing controls and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively adapt controls and reporting practices.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in gaming related reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls, with a focus on revenue reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of state and federal regulations affecting i-gaming related reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- A proactive team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaborative relationships across departments.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and integrity in all aspects of work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with Excel skills.
- Willingness to adjust working hours to accommodate Eastern Time zone requirements. Some travel for in person meeting sessions as needed.
