What is the position?

• We are looking for a candidate to join our accounting department, who will be responsible for certain lines of business and/or geographies, including but not limited to the following functions:
• Month-end close processes, including recording daily journals and creating accurate supporting schedules, for assigned geographical area or lines of businesses
• Revenue and cost of sales entries and analysis for our social gaming business, Canadian, UK, Polish, and UK legal entities
• Transfer pricing entries and reconciliations
• Participation in the statutory audits of our international subsidiaries
• Ensure that balance sheet accounts are reconciled, and proper adjustments are recorded and reviewed each month for all international subsidiary accounts
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Assist in the development and implementation of scalable accounting processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting
• Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
• Analyze data against business drivers to identify trends or issues
• Provide support for internal and external audits related to his/her specific areas of responsibility
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures
• Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses, as assigned
• Review of vendor contracts to record liability commitments and prepare the schedule of future commitments for the auditors
• Review VAT reconciliations and coordinate payments with the tax team
• Assist with gathering accounting records for various foreign tax audits

What are we looking for?

• Required and preferred candidate skills and experience:
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and GAAP rules, IFRS helpful
• A CPA qualification or eligibility to sit for the exam preferred
• Minimum 4 to 6 years' experience in GL accounting and financial reporting
• Experience in publicly traded, and/or start-up organizations
• Experience in large organizations with high volumes of transactions
• Background working within a GAAP accounting and SOX controls environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting, while balancing multiple projects at any given time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• High level of proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, lookup and other functions
• Experience with NetSuite ERP and Blackline highly desired
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
