Overview : The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing technical and organizational support for all Database Marketing efforts including but not limited to gathering data and providing actionable insights to help guide strategic decisions, the creation and execution of queries to extract data for direct marketing programs, and the preparation of data for direct marketing vendors.Responsibilities : Accurately create and modify existing database queries to extract data for direct marketing programs.Manipulate and sort lists in preparation for direct marketing vendors.Create, manage, and distribute direct marketing reports.Reconcile data across multiple databases to ensure accuracy in reporting and direct marketing lists.Research and recommend effective direct marketing approaches.Support all operational department needs, helping to identify and implement process improvements.Serve as a training resource on analytic programming tools and methods.Coordinate system testing with IT and Shared Services.Investigate and solve data quality issues.Prepare ad-hoc analysis upon request.Maintain professional relations with vendors and guests.Attend and participate in off-property functions and events as assigned.Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.Communicate effectively with all levels of the operation. Proactively identify issues and concerns to management.Monitor daily operations of the Database Department. Direct reports include Marketing Analyst and Direct Marketing Specialist.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications : Education and / or Experience Requirements : 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position and a Bachelor’s in Business, Advertising, or Marketing or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.Knowledge of : Basic mathematical skills.Expert knowledge of Excel including Pivot Tables and Vlookups.Proven ability to write database extract queries using SQL.Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.Excellent communication skills, judgment, high moral integrity, and strong work ethic.Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.Strong organizational, planning, public, and interpersonal relations skills.Strong computer skills including MS Office applications.Tactful problem-solving abilities and work schedule flexibility required.Ability to : Communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.Forecast changes in the economic climate and / or profits and react accordingly.Analyze marketing and promotions data.Be a strategic, analytical, ethical, and effective motivator.Participate in the development and administration of goals, objectives, and procedures.Prepare clear and concise administrative and financial reports.Interpret and explain policies and procedures.Operate various types of office equipment.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during work.Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.Additional Requirements : Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.Must successfully pass background check.Must successfully pass drug screening.Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.Prior experience in Tribal Gaming preferred.Closing : The Tribal Council gives first preference in all of its employment practices to members of the Enterprise Rancheria Tribe who meet the job requirements.#J-18808-Ljbffr
