The Bar Porter is responsible for the area relative to supplies, equipment and the removal of empty or soiled articles. Creates a high standard of cleanliness to bar, according to established policies, so guests enjoy a safe and memorable experience.
Responsibilities:Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Works towards providing guests with a safe and memorable experience.
- Pushes, pulls, stocks and unloads carts and liquor cabinets.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Must possess knowledge of different brand beverage items.
- Must undergo TIPS training on an ongoing basis.
- Must possess good time management skills
- Must be able to work without close supervision.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other team members
- Must have an open availability and ability to work a flexible schedule
- Conducts themselves in accordance with all VA Lottery Regulations and Hard Rock International standards.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills which include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, specific to position responsibilities.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Frequent lifting/carrying of weights over 50 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting and bending.
- Pushes, pulls, stocks and unloads carts and liquor cabinets
Work Environment:
- May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy
