Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor
The successful candidate will oversee all front-of-the-house restaurant operations and employees in specified food outlets during assigned shifts, and assist with supervision of other food & beverage outlets as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Create an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain for gaming entertainment.
- Actively build and retain guest relations, and mentor team members to provide superior guest service.
- Maintain administrative functions such as scheduling, time and attendance records, and appraisals to ensure appropriate staffing levels and adherence to established service standards.
- Assist in monitoring department budget to ensure efficient use of labor and resources.
- Monitor guest service and satisfaction by interviewing guests and observing food ratings to make recommendations for improvement.
- Resolve guest concerns or complaints to maintain positive guest relations.
- Inspect food outlets daily to ensure a safe work environment, properly functioning equipment, and sufficient supplies.
- Attend meetings and complete follow-up tasks as assigned.
- Perform work regularly and predictably.
- Clean and sanitize work and public spaces.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, plus four years of dining experience, including a minimum of two years of Food and Beverage supervisory experience.
- Or a Bachelor's degree in Restaurant Management or related field.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and ERGC Gaming regulations.
- Background check.
- Drug screening.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, holidays, and weekends.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Management of high-volume restaurants, bars, or similar businesses.
- Standard safety and sanitation practices for food and beverage service.
- Applicable computer systems.
- Positions within the restaurant, e.g., host/hostess, dining room attendant, waitperson, etc.
- Food, food product, food preparation, etc.
- Service, service etiquette, and standard service practices for full-service restaurants.
- Wines and alcoholic beverages.
