Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers/Companions to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, memory care, or home health settings.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, and dressing.
- Assist the client with ambulation to ensure safety, stability, and confidence while walking.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental stimulation.
- Support individuals with memory care needs, utilizing techniques that enhance cognitive function and maintain dignity.
- Help clients manage medications as prescribed and monitor their overall health status.
- Ensure a safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and maintaining cleanliness.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure that clients feel respected and valued at all times.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans tailored to individual needs.
Skills
- Experience in senior care or home health settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies for working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy while maintaining confidentiality regarding client information.
