What are the responsibilities and job description for the SECURITY GUARD position at Hardee County Sheriff's Office?
This is unarmed protective work guarding public property. Employees in this class provide general grounds, building, property and equipment securities duties to patrol assigned areas to safeguard against unsafe conditions, fire, trespass, theft and other hazards. Duties may require receiving, recording, forwarding and implementing standard operating procedures on a wide range of incidents, telephone or radio reports and making telephone and administrative reports to a designated central location or official.
Qualifications
Education - High School or G.E.D.
Preferred valid State of florida Class D Security Guard License or substantial experience in a related field and knowledge of security procedures and techniques. Applicant must be at least 19 years old.
