Restaurant General Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team at Hardee's. As a Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, including managing staff, maintaining high-quality food and customer service, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hiring and Training: Recruit, hire, and train a team of qualified staff to meet the needs of the restaurant. Ensure that all new hires complete the company training process and meet performance expectations.
- Ordering and Inventory: Place accurate orders on time using the ordering guide in the Mclane ordering system. Maintain good stock levels and ensure that the restaurant does not consistently run out of products or have a large quantity on hand.
- Scheduling: Schedule staff to meet labor matrix standards and ensure that the restaurant is staffed and operating to standard. Manage vacation requests and ensure that only one General Manager per district is on vacation at a time.
- Cash Controls: Follow and enforce all cash policy standards, including verifying deposits daily and funding coin orders on delivery day.
- Restaurant Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment that meets company RA and QA standards, as well as state and local health department standards.
- Financial Management: Meet financial standards, including labor and food cost, and report accurate and honest food cost and labor numbers.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have a telephone or other reliable method of communicating with the restaurant.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
Essential Functions:
- Provide a quality product and customer service experience that delivers total customer satisfaction.
- Follow all customer service guidelines and procedures.
- Work assigned station(s) accurately and productively.
- Ensure that all customers receive hot, quality products.
- Handle all food products according to company procedures.
Training and Development:
- Strive to improve personal skills and performance level.
- Ensure that the entire staff is trained properly using the tools provided.
- Identify and train potential managers using the Shift manager training process.
Personal Qualities:
- Maintain a professional approach and attitude at all times.
- Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed by crew and managers.
