Safety Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment across all operations. This role requires a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, risk management practices, and occupational health standards, particularly within the construction industry. The Safety Coordinator will play a critical role in implementing safety programs and policies that protect employees and minimize workplace hazards.

Duties

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Provide training to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety considerations into construction management processes.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and assist in the investigation of incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation.
• Serve as a point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees and management.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, changes in regulations, and emerging trends in occupational health and safety.

Experience

• Proven experience in safety coordination or a related field within the construction industry is essential.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EHS principles, risk management strategies, and workers' compensation processes.
• Familiarity with construction management software to track compliance activities and manage documentation effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to train others on safety practices clearly and effectively.
• Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations is highly desirable.
• A background in occupational health or environmental compliance is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

• Solar Safety Tech: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• OSHA 30 (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)
• First Aid Certification (Required)
• OSHA 510 (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 100% (Required)
