Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide training to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety considerations into construction management processes.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and assist in the investigation of incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees and management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, changes in regulations, and emerging trends in occupational health and safety.
Experience
- Proven experience in safety coordination or a related field within the construction industry is essential.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EHS principles, risk management strategies, and workers' compensation processes.
- Familiarity with construction management software to track compliance activities and manage documentation effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train others on safety practices clearly and effectively.
- Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations is highly desirable.
- A background in occupational health or environmental compliance is a plus.
