Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Solar Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of a 3.5 MW solar farm. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of construction, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Construction Management:
- Supervise site activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to maintain efficiency.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and site inspections.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, subcontractors, and utility partners.
- Communicate project updates, challenges, and solutions effectively.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain environmental compliance and permitting requirements.
Financial & Reporting:
- Monitor project budgets and track financial performance.
- Prepare reports on project progress, costs, and risks.
Qualifications & Experience:Experience:
- 3 years of project management experience in solar construction (utility-scale or large C&I preferred).
- Strong understanding of solar farm construction, QA/QC, electrical systems, and civil works.
- Experience managing projects of 3 MW (larger farm experience is also acceptable).
Certifications:
- PMP, OSHA 30, or NABCEP certification is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Knowledge of NEC codes and utility interconnection processes.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
- Ability to work directly with key stakeholders, including Owners, Project Managers, and Subcontractors.
