Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety programs within the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, particularly in construction environments. This role will involve developing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety practices into construction management processes.
- Provide training and resources to employees on occupational health, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work programs for injured employees.
- Analyze incident reports and develop strategies to mitigate risks and prevent future occurrences.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all EHS-related inquiries and concerns.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations related to occupational health and safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a safety management role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, NEC codes, and EHS regulations.
- Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships across various teams.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on risk management strategies.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
