We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Superintendent to lead electricians in running and managing Commercial electrical projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems, and proficiency in both English and Spanish. (preferred but not required) This role requires overseeing and coordinating the work of the electrical team while ensuring adherence to safety standards, project timelines, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of electricians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and high-quality workmanship.
- Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and adjusting priorities as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate installations and repairs in compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to review project requirements, resolve issues, and ensure timely completion of electrical work.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and worksites to identify potential hazards, quality issues, and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with procurement staff to ensure timely delivery of materials, tools, and equipment needed for electrical projects.
- Maintain documentation of project activities, including work orders, progress reports, and safety records, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and prevent recurring issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between management and the electrical team, conveying expectations, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in electrical systems is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, controls, and instrumentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
