What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eligibility Specialist II position at HARDIN COUNTY JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES?
Access the Ohio Benefits Worker Portal to perform case management to determine eligibility for assistance; provide intake applications for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and conduct phone interviews to determine eligibility; process changes that affect eligibility for assistance such as adding newborn children or deaths in the family.
Process applications on a daily basis by completing new applications and reapplications for assistance and mail out applications as needed; contact clients to answer questions and provide updates to cases; scan all client paperwork using the electronic document management system (EDMS) and track all due dates of follow-up items; send all needed paperwork to clients and update all cases for increases or decreases of assistance; send requests for verification for eligibility; close and reopen cases as needed.
Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); courses in behavioral or social science; six months or more related experience and/or training; or knowledge skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Pay: $18.43 - $21.12 per hour
