Job Summary
This position is responsible for the direct care of pain management patients on a day to day basis, including hands-on patient care in both clinic and procedures. In this position, you will be part of a clinical team dedicated to helping patients who suffer from chronic pain receive safe and responsible treatment options that help them improve their quality of life. This position will assess, plan, direct, administer, teach, and evaluate nursing care, and ensure quality and efficiency according to established hospital and PMG policies and procedures.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Clinic Manager
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education
Graduation from an accredited school or college of nursing (required)
Work Experience
Two years' experience as a clinical nurse in a hospital environment preferred, experience in critical care, surgery, or emergency department beneficial.
License/Certification
Current Tennessee State Licensed Practical Nurse with no restrictions
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Current certification in Advanced Life Support (ACLS)

Essential Functions
Provide injections and other nursing interventions as ordered.
Educate patients on condition and procedures as needed.
Assist physician or nurse practitioner during procedures by providing instruments and monitoring patient status.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting care provided and any changes in condition.
Obtain prior authorization for imaging, medication, and procedures as needed.
Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Report any adverse patient events or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Other Duties
Participates in hospital safety programs.
Supports and enforces infection-control policies and procedures.
Is resourceful and calm in emergencies.
Maintains a professional approach with confidentiality.
Displays concern and initiative.
Observes and supports hospital policy.
Is prompt and efficient with minimal absences.
Cooperates and maintains good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, and visitors.
Assists in reviewing and revising policies and procedures
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds during a scheduled work shift.
Must be able to see with corrective eye wear
Must be able to hear clearly with assistance
May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases
Able to handle emergency and/or crisis situations
May be required to wear protective equipment as necessary
Transferring, repositioning patients.
Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching for patient care functions.
Ability to perform effectively in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests including random and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
