This Full-Time Substitute Teacher role at Harding Academy will serve the immediate instructional needs of the school while offering significant varied opportunities for instructional growth and experience for the person in the role. The primary teaching responsibilities of the Full-Time Substitute Teacher will be determined by the Director of Teaching and Learning in partnership with the Division Directors, and will include covering classes from Pre-K through 8th grade, as needed, in all content areas. Given certain subbing circumstances that extend beyond typical 1-2 day increments, the individual in this exempt position may be asked to lesson plan or review student work outside of normal working hours. This outside-of-classroom work will be at the discretion and direction of Division Directors or the Director of Teaching and Learning, and will be considered as part of the normal workload for this position. There should be no expectation that extra compensation will be applied in this instance(s).
This Full-Time Substitute Teacher role also includes driving one of the morning bus routes (14-passenger minibus provided; no CDL license required) and coaching four (4) sports to be paid by separate stipend (TBD) during the academic year.
This is a full-time position anticipated to begin on or about August 1, 2025. The position offers applicable full-time benefits which may include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance.

Qualifications/Experience
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
For the Coaching component of this position, 3-5 years of playing -- or preferably coaching -- experience, and weekday
afternoon availability between approximately 3:00-6:00pm
Preference: For the Teaching component of this position, Master’s degree; current or transferable teacher certification in the State of Tennessee
