We are seeking a dedicated ELL Coordinator & Push-In Teacher to oversee the assessment, placement, and support of English language learners across the district. This role involves developing and implementing ESL programs, collaborating with educators to integrate language support, engaging with families and the community, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and providing professional development to enhance instructional strategies for ELLs.
Program Development and Implementation
- Establishes and monitors implementation of program goals and objectives.
- Oversees the assessment and placement of English language learners within the district.
- Administers language proficiency tests and analyzes student data to determine appropriate placement in ELL programs or mainstream classrooms.
- Works closely with educators to develop ELAPs for English language learners with diverse learning needs. This may involve providing resources, accommodations, and interventions to help students succeed academically.
- Collaborates with school administrators, teachers, counselors, and other stakeholders to ensure that English language learners receive comprehensive support and access to educational opportunities.
- Provides direct ELL instruction to ELLs by pushing into mainstream classrooms, collaborating with classroom teachers to deliver targeted language support and instruction.
- Develops and implements differentiated lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of ELLs, including language proficiency levels and learning styles.
- Collaborates with classroom teachers and other stakeholders to integrate language objectives into content area instruction and promote language-rich learning experiences for ELLs.
- Facilitates communication and collaboration between school staff, parents/guardians of English language learners, and the broader community. This may include organizing parent workshops, providing information about ESL programs and services, and serving as a liaison between the school and community organizations.
- Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations regarding ESL education and language support services. This includes maintaining accurate records, submitting required reports, and staying informed about relevant policies and guidelines.
- Engages in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in ESL education, language acquisition research, and relevant policies and regulations.
- Provides support and training to teachers within the district. This may involve organizing professional development workshops, providing resources and materials, and offering guidance on effective teaching strategies for ELLs.
- Collects and analyzes data related to ESL student performance, program effectiveness, and outcomes.
- Evaluates the impact of ESL programs, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for program enhancements.
Salary : $44,021 - $70,000
