- Prepare and arrange learning centers, ensuring that the classroom is organized, clean, and inviting for young learners.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of instructional materials and supplies.
- Ensure that both indoor and outdoor areas are set up to promote exploration and development.
- Monitor children during all activities, maintaining a safe environment where children are engaged and secure.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines, promptly responding to any emergencies or incidents.
- Observe children to ensure that behavior aligns with safety and classroom expectations.
- Work alongside the lead teacher to implement age-appropriate educational activities and lessons.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to address each childs unique learning needs.
- Assist with the systematic observation and recording of childrens progress and development.
- Encourage exploratory learning through play, helping children build social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
- Communicate effectively with the lead teacher and other staff members to support a cohesive educational approach.
- When appropriate, assist with sharing observations or updates with parents to support a consistent home-school connection.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions to continuously enhance classroom support.
- Follow all school and district policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines, ensuring a professional work environment.
- Maintain the confidentiality of student and family information in accordance with privacy regulations.
