Many faculty members enjoy investing in their students and the community by mentoring, coaching, advising a school club or activity, participating in curriculum development, professional learning, and school committees.Classroom Environment and Organization

• Prepare and arrange learning centers, ensuring that the classroom is organized, clean, and inviting for young learners.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of instructional materials and supplies.
• Ensure that both indoor and outdoor areas are set up to promote exploration and development.

Child Supervision and Safety

• Monitor children during all activities, maintaining a safe environment where children are engaged and secure.
• Adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines, promptly responding to any emergencies or incidents.
• Observe children to ensure that behavior aligns with safety and classroom expectations.

Instructional Development and Support

• Work alongside the lead teacher to implement age-appropriate educational activities and lessons.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to address each childs unique learning needs.
• Assist with the systematic observation and recording of childrens progress and development.
• Encourage exploratory learning through play, helping children build social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

Communication and Teamwork

• Communicate effectively with the lead teacher and other staff members to support a cohesive educational approach.
• When appropriate, assist with sharing observations or updates with parents to support a consistent home-school connection.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions to continuously enhance classroom support.

Professionalism and Compliance

• Follow all school and district policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines, ensuring a professional work environment.
• Maintain the confidentiality of student and family information in accordance with privacy regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practices to continually improve the quality of support provided.
