About the Job

Hardware Resources is currently searching for an experienced Team Lead to add to our lineup. Order customization is a large part of what sets us apart from our competition. Bossier wood plant operations manufacture dovetail drawer boxes, cabinet organizers, drawer fronts, decorative crowns, and accent moldings for the kitchen cabinets industry. The Team Lead is responsible for driving production for a small team within a larger manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be the quarterback of his or her team, guiding them to excel each day while ensuring that safety and quality expectations are being met. Must be able and willing to correct substandard performance or non-conformances in a quality setting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Observe, adhere to, and promote safe operations.

Perform daily cycle counts on materials.

· Report or correct unsafe working conditions.

· Promote and comply with 5S disciplines.

· Monitor and ensure team members perform defect-free work.

· Ensure the use of properly calibrated measuring devices.

· Troubleshoot and correct conditions that create non-conformances.

· Recognize and create opportunities for exceeding department production goals.

· Organize, monitor, and direct work order flow for balanced operations in and across functional areas.

· Ensure machines and equipment in the work area are maintained and repaired.

· Train personnel by standard operating procedures.

· Lead/participate in plant inventories.

· Ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

· Strong relationship and collaboration skills with stakeholders outside of department.

· Able to use and read measuring devices such as calipers and tape measure.

· Basic computer skills.

Requirements and experience

· Previous manufacturing experience(required), team leadership experience (preferred)

· Good communication skills.

· Strong computer skills.

· Some overtime will be required.

· Inventory/Materials Management experience (preferred)

Shift Availability:

· Day Shift: Monday – Friday 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM

· Specific times will vary depending on TL role selected. This will be discussed in the interview process.
