Position Overview:
As a Stocker, you'll play a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring our store remains organized, stocked, and customer-ready. You’ll work alongside sales and retail staff to maintain clean, safe, and presentable merchandising areas, with occasional opportunities to engage with customers directly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Handling: Receive, organize, and restock merchandise throughout the store and stockroom areas.
- Merchandise Maintenance: Down-stock and face products to maintain orderly displays; report discrepancies or low stock levels.
- Store Cleanliness: Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying garbage and recycling.
- Team Support: Assist sales staff with locating inventory, fulfilling restocking requests, and preparing merchandise for customer areas.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally assist customers with locating items or answering basic product questions when needed.
- Sales Floor Coverage: Step in to support sales staff during busy periods or when coverage is needed.
- Safety and Organization: Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean and hazard-free workplace.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth day-to-day store operations.

Qualifications:
High-school diploma or GED
Prior retail or warehouse experience preferred, but not required
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to operate computer systems and mobile scanning devices
Good with numbers; able to count accurately and differentiate similar part numbers
Dependable and punctual
Willingness to support customer service and sales teams when needed
Interest and knowledge in hardware and home improvement products is a plus
This role requires standing and walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and regular bending and squatting. This position will require going up and down stairs and climbing ladders. Strong attention to detail and basic math skills are essential for accurate inventory management.
