Job Summary:
The Information Technology Department manages the computer infrastructure that drives the organization’s technology-based business solutions. These are in support of the Headquarters in Long Island City, NY and approximately 20 administrative and logistics locations in the Americas and Asia.
This role will be responsible for all critical IT services. Including servers, associated hardware, and their software systems, storage devices and network connections to ensure high availability and security of the business applications. This individual also participates in the planning, drafting and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage virtual and physical servers with Windows Server operating systems, related storage environments and LAN/WAN network components.
· Provide management, maintenance, and provision servers, storage, and network infrastructure in support of business activities.
· Managed Microsoft hybrid AD including user accounts, which will include modifying AD user/group, GPOs and computer accounts, group policy and DFS settings and any other necessary configurations.
· Plan, budget, implement, manage and maintain virtualized servers; VMs and hosts, including balancing resources, failover and related HA functions.
· Plan, budget, implement, manage and maintain backup and recovery solutions, including regular testing of DR/BC.
· Leverage scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell, to ensure efficiency, consistency and effectiveness of all systems.
· Plan, budget, implement, manage and maintain all infrastructure hardware, including all infrastructure elements such as compute, storage, networking, cooling, and power conditioning.
· Ensure the security of the server infrastructure by implementing industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and compliance.
· Develop and maintain thorough systems documentation and standard operating procedures.
· Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other stakeholders.
· Monitor, appropriately respond to alerts, and administer SIEM, all on premises and remote log files, and external penetration mitigation systems.
· Act as a Project Manager for infrastructure projects.
· Deeply skilled at troubleshooting infrastructure and server issues.
· Provide as needed Helpdesk end user support for peripherals including printers and label printers, desktops, laptop computers and all business applications (Acrobat, MS Office, Office365, Anti-virus, etc. and other licensed software).
· Supervise small staff; manage performance, reviews, development, and related responsibilities.
· Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
· Mastery level skills with
o Hosts and virtualized servers, including load balancing, HA and backups and restores
o Networking, including routing, subnets, VLANs, and wireless
o Backup solutions
o Patch management, endpoint protection, and SIEM
· Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients including timely, concise, complete, and effective communication to management.
· Consistent ability to troubleshoot, investigate, identify and resolve root causes for infrastructure and services.
· Robust skills with scripting and automation tools, including PowerShell.
· Robust knowledge of firewalls and firewall rulesets and updating and testing updates.
· Strong documentation/reporting skills.
· Some exposure to managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Linux environments, especially RHEL.
· Work experience with any of the following is strongly desired: CMMC, NIST 800-171, ISO27001
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
· 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure management within a corporate environment supporting large-scale systems.
· Experience overseeing staff and managing their performance.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
· Certifications such as A , Microsoft, or other relevant credentials preferred.
· Significant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
