Bin Sorter Team Support Member

Description

Function: This position is responsible for operating the chain pull position by placing chained boards into units to inventory and to send to customers; additionally, this position will locate inventory, transport and packaging material to staging areas, organizing and relocating inventory, reporting material needs, and completing all associated paperwork.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Includes the following.

1. Deposit boards coming off the chain into proper bins per Lumber Grader’s instruction
2. Locate inventory per order
3. Assemble customer’s order inventory using prescribed banding/packaging methods
4. Restocks building materials in an appropriate location ensuring good organization
5. Identify all stock (lumber and/or sheet goods) by SKU
6. Stage material so manufacturing and production can process and ship finalized materials
7. Exercises care and concern of all inventory to reduce loss from mishandling
8. Exercises care and concern for equipment, material, and all personnel
9. Leaves work area clean, free of debris, and in a condition where another employee can work without having to clean before performing job duties

Knowledge of all equipment, its use, and ability to operate it.

Ability to use the telephone.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; calculate linear, board, and square footage.

Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, to write detailed correspondence, and to communicate information to customers and employees in English.

Ability to learn and use software computer applications, to include Microsoft Office Suite and Epicort.

This job requires regular work inside; constantly working near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and constantly exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Salary : $15 - $18
