SKILLS
- The ability to adapt to the work environment (fast-paced environment, weather changes, small spaces, etc.…)
- The ability to work independently, read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
- The ability to receive and follow instructions from the supervisor and communicate with co-workers
- The ability to lift 50lbs or more
- Possess a strong attention to detail and alert to ensure all OSHA safety guidelines are being followed
- Possess the will to continuously learn
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- 3 years of experience as a TIG/ MIG Welder/Stick
- The ability to travel (not optional)
- A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred
- Experience piping with cooling towers, chillers, boilers, large roof top equipment
- Experience with hydronic
- Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines
- Utilize hand tools, plasma cutters, and metal cutting machines to measure and cut metal components
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all OSHA safety protocols
- Observes and complies with all safety and project rules, as well as all company policies and procedures
- Must be detail-oriented, have a positive attitude, and be able to work as part of a team
- Collaborate with team members to plan and prioritize work assignments
- Set up, maintain, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors
- Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes
- Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
