What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Manager-HVAC and Plumbing position at Hardy Corporation?
The ideal candidate will have experience managing, planning and executing commercial HVAC and plumbing projects from initiation to completion. The individual will lead the project team, overseeing bidding, negotiation, budgeting, planning, scheduling, team coordination, and project execution, with a focus on achieving gross profit goals for each project.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee completion of project
- Lead the project team in the overall construction process in conjunction with Field Superintendent(s), managing schedules and manpower requirements for drafting, fabrication, installation, and start-up
- Procure equipment, materials, and subcontractors using POs and subcontracts
- Closely monitor job progress and convene internal meetings as necessary to review production reports and job costs versus budgets
- Monitor and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies that may arise during the construction of projects
- Manage work and inputs from variety of stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Building Science is preferred.
- 10 years of experience in project management for a mechanical contractor is required, with proven experience in both commercial HVAC and plumbing preferred.
- Experience with design-build, preconstruction activities, and design-assist is highly desired.
