| Job Description |
HCC is seeking qualified elementary instructors for our Summer Youth Camps. Camp season begins on June 23, 2025 and continues through August 15, 2025. (Camps will not be held on Friday, July 4th) Camp information & Catalog can be found online at: https://www.harford.edu/academics/community-ed-programs/youth/camp-curiosity.php. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning and implementing camp curriculum; coordinating daily operations and safety procedures of camp; maintaining supply inventory; communicating effectively with campers, camp staff and parents/guardians; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Available Camp Weeks: Weeks 3 - 7: Art and Drawing Camps Week 3: Spanish Exploration Week 3: Blast Off
Weeks 3 & 4: Creators Workshop (STEM)
Week 4: Wild Animal Adventures Week 5: No Bake Kitchen Week 5: Dino Science Week 5: Mario Kart Week 5: Knights of the Galaxy (Star Wars) Weeks 5 & 8: School of Wizardry (Harry Potter) Week 6: Pets & Paws Week 6: Pirates and Mermaids Week 6: Time Travelers Weeks 6 & 8: Superhero Training Week 7: Sewing Week 7: Cool Cuisine Week 7: Imagination Station (STEM) Instructors are required to attend employee training, to be scheduled the week of June 9, 2025. Instructors are not required to be available for all camp weeks. Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position. |

| Required Experience | One year of teaching, childcare, camp, or coaching experience. |
| Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities | Ability to successfully pass an FBI, MD, and CJIS background screening. |
| Preferred Qualifications | One year of summer camp experience. |
| General Weekly Work Schedule | Half-day camp operating hours are 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Full-day camp operating hours are 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, one-hour duty-free lunch break. |
