Position Overview:
As an On-Call Solar Technician, you will be responsible for responding to service calls, troubleshooting, and performing maintenance on solar power systems. This position requires a proactive and technically proficient individual who can quickly diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duty to promptly respond to emergency service requests for solar power system issues both during and outside of regular business hours.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and identify technical problems with solar panels, inverters, and other system components.
Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on solar power systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Documentation: Accurately document service activities, including troubleshooting steps, repairs made, and replacement parts used.
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues, provide solutions, and offer recommendations for system improvement.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on solar installations and repairs, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing solar power systems, including solar panels, inverters, and associated components.
Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical systems and wiring related to solar installations.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) or equivalent are preferred.
Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and provide excellent customer service.
Reliability: Ability to respond promptly to on-call requests and work flexible hours as needed.
Safety Conscious: Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
Driving License: Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel to job sites.
