HARKER Heating has been providing service excellence to homes and businesses in Dane county since 1949. The primary role we are currently looking to fill will be for an individual that enjoys providing a high level of customer service while performing HVAC maintenance, service and repairs to residential and light commercial properties. Typical equipment that you'd service will range from 1-1 / 2 ton ductless split systems to 10-ton RTUs and all other typical HVAC systems found in homes and small businesses.
Additional duties to include :
Paid After Hours On-call rotation which is currently split between 15 technicians. Approximately 3 weekends as primary and 3 weekends as back-up per year. (May include some holidays)
Perform mechanical maintenance and service to various brands and types of equipment
Perform and Document Equipment and System Start-ups
Assist with equipment installations
Core Competencies :
Strong email and verbal communication ability is required
Ability to work efficiently with service software
Ability to provide professional and detailed work order notes
Ability to interact with clients, staff, vendors and other team members while representing the company in a positive manner
Ability to multitask, maintain organization and communicate site and equipment information
Competent knowledge of HVAC systems and troubleshooting is required
Working knowledge of furnace & split AC systems, boilers, small RTUs, HPs and other Residential and Light Commercial HVAC equipment
Positive attitude is a must
Ability to work under pressure
Adaptability- the individual must be able to adapt with changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with regular changes, delays or unexpected events
Compensation / Benefits :
Hourly pay will be based on experience, attitude and technical skill level
Overtime pay after 8 hours
Double time pay on Holidays
