Collaborates with DOS/Sr Sales Specialist to handle all day-to-day activities relating to reactive sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives and repeat guest potential.

- Responds to inbound and repeat customer sales inquiries from web site lead generation as well as email opportunities. Additional potential group clients and customers seeking theatre event space, private screenings, meetings, field trips, IMAX programs, birthday parties, food and beverage services, unique spaces (Freezer, patio), events, etc.
- Plans and contracts with groups to achieve the annual sales objectives.
- Accurately keeps Tripleseat records/events/bookings up to date and all notes and details in place
- Close events timely (TPS) and follows department standards
- Identifies the appropriate option for the guest requests for selling the theatre space and pricing.
- Develops relationships within community and personal group contacts to strengthen and expand customer base for increased sales opportunities.
- Attends local networking events as applicable
- Identifies new business opportunities to achieve personal and team revenue goals, including developing creative ways to drive sales each day.
- Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand etc. and knows how to present Harkins’ value.
- Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (i.e., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence). Partners with operations department, all appropriate departments, and theatres to ensure all details of the event are communicated.
- Works with sales team to coordinate (as it pertains to leads or targeted solicitation), email communications, invitations, collateral, events, agendas, and other group information as needed
- May conduct direct sales solicitation via telephone and written or email communications.
- When appropriate, professionally conducts routine telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Regular attendance and physical presence at the work site.
- Sets high standards for self while maintaining company standards, policies, and procedures to always ensure delivery of the ultimate moviegoing experience.
- Maintains a professional working environment while setting a positive and professional example for others to follow.
- Requires typing on a computer, reaching, stretching, lifting to 20 pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, interacting with others, speaking on the telephone, problem solving, and cognitive skills.
- Ad hoc reports upon request.
- Performs special projects, as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years’ experience in sales, or a related sales support function.
- Excellent phone skills, communication, presentation, guest service and networking skills.
- Movie theatre experience a plus.
- Able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Self-starter, fast learner with a can-do spirit.
- Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity.
- High sense of urgency and innate sales talent.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Experience dealing directly with small to mid-sized, local business owners and decision makers.
- Able to focus and navigate aggressive deadlines.
- Microsoft Office Suite, internet savvy. CRM experience a plus.
- Capable of remaining calm and using good judgment in elevating situations.
- Organized with strong attention to detail and ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
- Maintains a professional attitude and demeanor. Demonstrates unimpeachable integrity and accountability. Communicates professionally in all circumstances.
