The IT Installer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining IT hardware and software systems, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance for employees.
Job Responsibilities
- Engage in troubleshooting, on-site support, and collaborating with team members to meet project timelines effectively;
- Install, configure, and test IT hardware, including computers, servers, networking devices, cabling, and peripherals;
- Set up software applications, operating systems, and security protocols;
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems;
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues during and after installation;
- Install and configure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and access points;
- Ensure proper connectivity and functionality of wired and wireless networks;
- Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities;
- Provide detailed reports of completed tasks and identified issues;
- Provide clear and professional communication during installations and troubleshooting;
- Offer guidance and training on the use of installed systems when needed;
- Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations;
- Perform other required tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Installer, IT Technician, or in a similar role preferred;
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or equivalent a plus;
- Experience with specific systems such as VOIP, CCTV, or access control preferred;
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity measures preferred;
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and networking principles;
- Familiarity with cabling standards and system integration;
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and installation manuals;
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues;
- Strong customer service and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team;
- Physical ability to lift and handle heavy equipment when necessary;
- Willingness to travel to external company locations as required;
- Solid analytical and organizational capabilities.
