Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young children. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with lead teachers to support the educational development of students in a play based preschool setting, ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Facilitate learning through play, encouraging exploration and creativity among students.
- Provide individualized attention to students, helping them with tasks such as math and other foundational skills.
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day to day well-being.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Assist with special education needs as required, adapting activities to meet diverse learning styles.
Requirements
- Experience working with students in an educational or daycare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to educate young children through engaging and interactive methods.
- Experience with toddler care and understanding of developmental milestones is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- A positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
