As the Administrative Assistant in the Kitchen, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting kitchen operations and the culinary team by managing administrative tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and assisting with a variety of kitchen-related functions.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Valid NYC DOH Food Protection Certificate required.
Who You Are
- At least one year of relevant administrative or kitchen experience.
- Two years of experience in the food service industry, with knowledge of food preparation for volume production.
- Familiarity with Health Department regulations and food safety protocols.
- Attended a Culinary training program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate excellent customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Update and maintain kitchen catering schedule and employee schedules.
- Enter approved catering requests and advise the manager of any conflicts.
- Handle vendor billing and ordering and ensure proper inventory control.
- Update cooking class schedules and assist with Chef of the Day programs.
- Process new hire documentation and update employee records.
- Assist with the creation of training materials and special projects as needed.
- Run errands and assist with menu-related tasks.
- Maintain an organized filing system and manage vacation requests.
- Provide general administrative support to management and kitchen staff.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
