What are the responsibilities and job description for the Official position at Harlem Globetrotters International Inc?
The Harlem Globetrotters accept applications throughout the year for those individuals that seek future audition opportunities to become a Referee and perform with the most recognizable and storied sports team in history.
- Referee all games and practices scheduled by HGI
- Distribute all practice/game gear (as directed by Sr Director of Operations)
- Pack/load practice/game gear following each event/activity
- Manage inventory of HGI game balls
- Keep an accurate inventory of the truck stock and report weekly to the tour manager and Sr Director of Operations
- Manage an accurate inventory of all player/staff apparel/game gear and submit weekly reports to Sr Director of Operations/Tour Manager
- Wash and maintain practice/game gear following each event/activity, of which includes, but not limited to, player uniforms, warm-ups, mascot gear, etc (as directed)
- Operate show elements as directed by Show Producer (i.e., Fog machines, LEDs, Lighting, etc.)
- Load and unload equipment
- Duties as assigned by HGI office
- Be able to adequately demonstrate their experience in being a Referee and performing at high levels during a performance, at times wearing a microphone and having speaking roles in the show.
- submit to a full background check
- be able to travel around the world with unfettered access into any country
- possess a valid United States Passport at the time of audition
- be at least 21 years of age
