We are looking for a Full-Time Service Porter/Dispatcher!
This position’s primary responsibility is to move motorcycles to and from the service department, showroom floor, and warehouse as needed with continuous communication within the department and dealership. Other duties include maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the service department and warehouse, assisting the detailing team when needed, and organizing the warehouse so that the location and status of motorcycles being serviced or stored at the Dealership are known at all times.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to ensure motorcycles are staged for work to be done
- Maintain a clean and orderly service department and warehouse, which includes but is not limited to taking out the garbage, keeping gasoline caddies full, and removing boxes and take-off parts from service bays and work areas
- Assist in loading and unloading motorcycle deliveries from truck
- Transport units to various locations around the Dealership, including technician lifts
- Maintain an organized system of stored motorcycles that can easily be communicated to other employees, departments, or customers at any time
- Keep stored bikes on rotational charging schedule
- Test riding bikes when needed
- Interact with customers and ensure they have a positive experience with our service department
Requirements/Preferred Skills:
- Must have valid Driver’s License with motorcycle endorsement
- Must be able to balance, move, and push a 900 lb. motorcycle
- Must be self-motivated, can work in fast-paced environment, be able to multi-task, and possess great organizational skills
- Fork-lift experience is encouraged
- Prior experience with Harley-Davidson® product or motorcycle lifestyle is not required, but welcome
- H-D of Madison is willing to train the right candidate
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
