Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the “jewel” of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Job Summary

Develops and maintains advanced technical competence in the areas of Electrical Controls through benchmarking, analysis, project interaction, education and development of strategic partnerships. Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans. Guides and trains teams in efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety / security systems. Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an asset maintenance plan that includes value-added preventive maintenance tasks. Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel

Job Responsibilities

• Designing control systems for manufacturing equipment using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, Fanuc robots, Siemens and Fanuc CNC machines
• Programming PLCs and CNC machines to meet production requirements, including writing ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text
• Configuring and integrating Fanuc robots into production lines and machining cells, optimizing their performance for maximum efficiency and productivity
• Troubleshooting electrical control systems to diagnose and resolve issues quickly, minimizing downtime
• Conducting continuous improvement initiatives with the maintenance and production teams to enhance system reliability and performance
• Collaborating with external vendors and contractors to source components and equipment, ensuring compatibility with existing systems
• Providing technical support and training to maintenance technicians and operators on control system operation and maintenance procedures
• Documenting control system designs, modifications, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference
• Adhering to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure compliance with regulations and minimize risk

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
