Harleysville Veterinary Hospital, 391 Main Street, Harleysville, PA
We are a small animal, AAHA certified, private practice seeking a veterinary technician/assistant to join our third shift technician team. This candidate should possess the ability to multi task and work independently. Our hospital is staffed 24 hours a day but remains closed from 10pm to 6am. The ideal candidate will bring and be trained to have well rounded technical skills in all aspects of veterinary medicine including but not limited to radiology, surgery, the ability to triage emergency cases, critical animal care, patient care, hospital cleanliness, equipment maintenance, inventory logging, etc.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
*Phlebotomy/Placing IV catheters
*Surgical Prep/Monitoring anesthesia
*Patient care - critical and routine, including exotics
*Sterilizing equipment
*Filling prescriptions
*Administering medications prescribed by Veterinarians
*Laboratory procedures
*Keep accurate records and logs
*Client education and communication
*Patient Restraint
*Radiology
*Maintaining hospital cleanliness and other various duties throughout the hospital
