Health Services Department PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Provide assistance in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Health Management Activities (HMA) to students with disabilities inside and outside the classroom. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans, including self help, behavior management, and instruction. Work under the general supervision of the principal, nurses, and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Certification :
High School diploma or Equivalent
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Certification
Special Knowledge / Skills :
Ability to work well with parents of children with disabilities
Ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to work well with campus faculty and staff
Ability to communicate effectively
Basic first aid and CPR
Experience :
One year of work experience as a CNA or in a field directly related to working with individuals with disabilities.
