We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the Operations Manager, Business Development opening. This role will provide support to global team members by tracking and tracing pre-sales activities within the Automotive Division. This role will be responsible for streamlining operational processes and providing key analytics to ensure the success of business development early engagement efforts. You will have global Operations responsibility for early engagement activities across Asia, Europe, and N. America. You will work closely with the regional business development leads and cross-functional teams (customer groups, SBUs, Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement etc.). This is a development-role for an high potential individual who can use this as a platform to develop skills and take up a broader scope of responsibilities within the wider Harman teams.

What You Will Do
- Create processes to streamline the operations for the business development function
- Support collaboration meetings globally, by developing templates and frameworks to drive efficiency into meetings. Track deliverables, action items and monitor status of stakeholder’s input.
- Maintain and provide reporting of regional pursuit status and associated KPIs including customer engagement activities
- Work with leadership to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress towards established team goals
- Responsible for planning, coordinating and leading global team workshops.
- Collaborate with the team on early engagement activity by contributing to customer facing proposals, content, and strategy.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the automotive landscape, OEM transformations and competitor offerings and partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree. Engineering degree preferred, MBA preferred.
- 5 years of automotive experience, ideally working in a Tier-1 organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and execute to completion
- Must have strong planning skills, and excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Sales Force, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal document
