What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leasing Assistant position at Harman Property Management Group?
This is an entry level position in property management with room to grow and advance. As a leasing assistant you will:
- Schedule and conduct property tours with prospective tenants
- Screen and process applications
- Deliver notices
- Conduct inspections
- Run errands etc.
Schedule is 10am-6pm. And some Saturdays required 11am-4pm. We service all of Utah County from our main leasing office location in Orem, Utah.
A day in the life of a Leasing Agent:
A leasing agent has the primary responsibility of carrying out property tours with prospective tenants, processing applications, delivering notices, conducting property inspections, helping answer customer questions, and delivering excellent customer service while being a cheerleader for our company.
At the beginning of each day, leasing agents take a minute to look over their schedules, communicate with management on any questions, and collect the necessary keys, and/or notices, for their appointments.
Throughout the day they meet with prospective tenants at properties across Utah County and conduct property tours with them. They are super friendly and provide a positive experience that demonstrates our company values. They make sure to answer questions for each person they meet with, ensure each person has all of the information they need to complete a rental application, and follow up as necessary. Once an application has been submitted leasing agents quickly process them.
On days with fewer property tours, or in between appointments, they assist the office team with their daily functions which might include: completing property inspections, answering phone calls, processing applications, responding to inquiry emails, and entering work orders.
At the end of each day they return any keys that were used for their appointments, finish up any documentation needed for their appointments, or office work, and follow up with a member of management before leaving for the day.
Harman Property Management Group has been in business since 1972, we manage properties from single family homes up to larger apartment buildings in Utah and Wyoming.
