Who is Harmar? We manufacture wheelchair lifts for automobiles, stair lifts for the home and residential and commercial vertical platform lifts. We sell to dealers and to the government. This individual will be responsible for conducting all duties as described below as the Quality Control Inspector. This individual’s focus will be on maintaining and improving the quality systems to ensure quality product ships to the customer.
Productivity:
- Audit inspection paperwork for completion.
- Provide input as to changes/updates needed to documentation.
- Report gaps and issues caused by mismatch of documented work instructions, BOMs and work practices.
- Ensures that work instructions are up to date at supplied at point of use.
- Report gaps and issues discovered during audits and train teams as needed.
- Participation in audit preparation for Regulatory Compliance Audits.
- Promote a culture of compliance and adherence to Harmar’s quality policy and SOPs.
- Verify production build schedule and final production build match.
- Conduct in-process inspections.
- Complete finished product inspections.
- Verify Document History Record is complete and release product for shipment.
- Understanding of the build/production process and capable of assisting in the building of the assigned product.
- Identify nonconforming product and ensure it is quarantined and controlled per SOP.
- Provide training to plant resources on Quality procedures.
- Responsibility of Quality inspection sheets.
- Use of quality inspection equipment.
- Quality alerts and non-conference procedure.
Requirements
Work Environment:
- Non-climate controlled warehouse.
- Be able to stand, lift, bend, and stoop for 10 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Experience:
- Must be able to read and write English.
- 2 years of quality inspection experience in a fast paced production environment.
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time well.
- Detail oriented with organization and problem solving skills.
- Ability to effectively present information to a diverse audience (training),
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting.
- Knowledge of ISO quality management system document and record control requirements.
- Familiarity with FDA medical device regulations.
Education:
- High school diploma
Hours:
- 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (Mon.-Thurs.) With 1-2 Overtime Fridays per month.
