Job Description:
Harmco Fastener Co. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team in Syracuse, NY. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to our customers, as well as assisting with warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers in a timely manner.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring accuracy of shipments.
- Operate a forklift for loading and unloading trucks.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude during deliveries.
- Assist in warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and organizing inventory.
- Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals.
- Verify delivery details and obtain necessary customer signatures.
- Handle and resolve customer inquiries or issues during deliveries professionally.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the delivery vehicle.
- Assist customers in loading and unloading their vehicles as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in delivery driving and/or warehouse work preferred.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
