DAY TO DAY
As our Scrap Yard Manager, you oversee all day-to-day activities and drive our growth. You build effective relationships with upper management and team members while achieving goals and revenue targets. Attentively, you ensure compliance with state, federal, and company policies, maintaining our standards of excellence. Through daily team huddles and one-on-one sessions, you foster a strong sense of camaraderie.
You oversee team member hours, monitor production KPIs, and make staffing recommendations to optimize productivity. Your role also involves analyzing performance, providing training and supervision, and driving efficiency to enhance the customer experience. Additionally, you are responsible for opening and closing the yard, maintaining our facility's cleanliness, and actively participating in internal meetings and required training sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of management experience
- 3 years of recycling processing experience
- Knowledge about ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Familiarity with finances, business principles, and operations management
- Strong communication skills and ability to inspire others
- High school diploma or equivalent
While not required, a bachelor's degree or heavy equipment experience would be preferred.
